For the last month or so, I have been working with ex-classmate and friend Talhia Mcneil on an Exhibition to be held during the month of October. An Alumni of the SPAO Portfolio program, Talhia has been exploring an interest in curating shows around the city, and promoting local emerging artists.

Our current project is my show at Must Wine Bar, at 41 William St in the Byward Market. The show will be up from October 2nd until November 4nd, with the Vernissage on Tuesday October 2nd from 7-10pm. Come enjoy $5 Kichessippi pints, amazing food, a 10% discount on the artwork, and free Kichessippi softgoods with purchase of a print. Live DJ to be announced. The show will feature skateboarding photos from the book I produced for SPAO Exhibition 7, along with recent, un-seen work aswell.

Once every two years, the Ottawa photography community celebrates: Festival X 2012 is our chance to look at, talk about, admire & engage with photographic art.

For the first time, I will have an image of Mitch Barrette after taking a gnarly slam featured in one of many shows during Festival X, that is TEASE, taking place at Patrick Gordon Framing (TEASE). TEASE is a SPAO Alumni show, and I am honoured to be a part of it alongside fellow ex-classmates. I will be attending the show’s Vernissage (opening party) at 160 Elm Street (Patrick Gordon Framing) On September 21st from 6-9pm. There is also a Guerilla Magazine Live Event starting at 1am. I hope to see you there!

Here’s a little peek into a post production process of mine. Some ‘real’ depth of field adjustment done the proper way. Photo is of homie Sam Lind, you should keep your eyes out for the Fall issue of SBC. Gonna be some goods in there!
