Tony Fouhse approached me soon after I graduated from the SPAO Portfolio Program about a new idea, www.straylightpress.com, which as he says, intends to become a portal for the support and sales of printed photo matter. Books and ‘zines, photographers projects in small editions, some with original prints.
He asked me to produce a small zine for the project. After technical difficulties and lots of bad timing, the time has finally come for me to sign my limited edition mags, and prints.
In the mag, you’ll find portraits from my days shooting skateboarding. Whether it be in the streets of Ottawa, or the port of Miami. Stoked faces, upset and injured faces, I hope the book will give the viewer an inside look into what skateboarding really is.
